St Osyth Summer Sounds: Music & Food Festival has announced its live music line-up for this summer, with two stages of performances set to take over St Osyth Priory as the now free event returns this July.

Taking place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July, St Osyth Summer Sounds is secured for the next three years and is quickly becoming one of the region’s standout summer events, bringing together music, food, family activity, art and large-scale installations across the Priory grounds.

Leading this year’s line-up is Brass Rascals, the UK’s leading brass band for drum and bass, garage, house, dancehall and pop, bringing their explosive live show to Saturday evening.

They’ll be joined by Mista Trick, whose drum and bass-fuelled sets have built a loyal following across the UK and Europe, alongside singer-songwriter Aiden Grimshaw, who first found national attention on The X Factor before building an acclaimed career on his own terms.

Saturday also features indie-pop from Grace Calver, Balkan and ska sounds from Band of Fools, acoustic rock from Codi Rox, blues-rock from Mr B & The Wolf, sharp songwriting from David Woodcock & The Fixtures, Barry Payne and The Long Shadows, experimental new wave from Sugar Darling, and ska, bluebeat and reggae from The Ska Town Syndicate.

Sunday moves through folk, acoustic, soul and gospel with performances from Ceilidh Tree, Sisters of Mersea, Scottish singer-songwriter David Angus, alt-folk artist Sun Cutter, Motown Gospel Choir, Gabriela Eva, A Light Left On, dark folk outfit Fishclaw, and Sophie Nash, alongside performances from local groups including The Company Performing Arts and Harwich Sing Tendring Voices.

Across both days, award-winning international drumming organisation Inspire-Works will bring interactive rhythm experiences to the South Lawn.

The programme mixes national names, emerging artists and well-loved local performers, which feels very true to what St Osyth Summer Sounds is building. There’s plenty to discover across the weekend whether people want to dance all day, catch something unexpected, or simply sit back with great food and enjoy the atmosphere.

Martin Collins, Founder & CEO at Arts Trust, says: “Live music changes the atmosphere of a place instantly and we wanted this year’s line-up to reflect the variety of the weekend; there are world-class artists people already know, brilliant local performers, and acts that might completely surprise people. That mix feels important to us because this weekend is all about bringing people together and giving them something they’ll remember.”

St Osyth Summer Sounds: Music & Food Festival takes place at St Osyth Priory, Essex, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2026. Entry and parking is free, with one or two activities requiring a nominal fee to take part.

Further announcements, including music artists, family programming and large-scale installations, will be revealed soon.
