Regional homebuilder Allison Homes Central is celebrating after two of its Senior Site Managers won National House-Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence Awards, building on their Quality Award wins earlier this year to secure further recognition for outstanding homebuilding standards.

Chrissie Matthews
Chrissie Matthews, who oversees Cranbrook Grange in Somersham, Cambridgeshire, and Russell Patrick, who manages Violet Meadows in Whittlesey, have each won their first Seal of Excellence Award in recognition of the high standards achieved at their developments.
Chrissie follows his second Quality Award with his first Seal of Excellence, while Russell has won both his first Quality Award and first Seal of Excellence in the same year. Both were among 449 Quality Award winners from a field of 7,500 site managers nationwide.
The Pride in the Job competition recognises site managers who deliver new homes to the highest standards. Quality Award winners undergo further judging for the Seal of Excellence, with their sites assessed by NHBC regional directors and an external, independent judge.
Site managers are assessed across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise, and health and safety.
Chrissie said: “I was over the moon to receive a Seal of Excellence. It was always my next goal after receiving my first Quality Award two years ago and when I joined Allison Homes, I wanted to push myself and my new site to the next level.
“We set out with this goal and it’s taken a lot of long hours, hard work and going that little bit extra to ensure the homes we’re building reflect that effort. It was a great feeling to hear NHBC speak so highly of us as a team and as a development. Having the whole team there to celebrate made it even more special.”
Chrissie credited the Cranbrook Grange team’s shared commitment to quality and strong working relationships for helping achieve the award.
He added: “Having a settled team allows us all to work towards the same standards and contribute our ideas to the development. It’s also about building relationships with the people who work on site every day. Without their understanding of the standards we expect, none of this would be possible.
“I’d particularly like to thank Bobby Friel and Odie Wason, who both bought into what I wanted to achieve at Cranbrook Grange, and Jimmy Tomlinson, who has been with me since the start. Jimmy’s ideas and eye for detail have helped us push quality and efficiency to a higher level. I’d also like to thank Michele Raucci for his help and advice throughout this year’s competition.”

Russell Patrick
For Russell, the award marks the achievement of a long-standing career ambition and recognises the collective effort behind Violet Meadows.
Russell said: “Receiving the Seal of Excellence was an incredibly proud moment, both personally and professionally. It’s something I’ve been working towards throughout my career, so achieving it in the same year as my first Quality Award means a great deal to me.
“What I’m most proud of is the quality we’ve delivered alongside the volume of work produced on the development. Maintaining those standards at a fast build pace, without compromising quality, is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the team.
“I’d like to thank the wider management team and everyone who has supported me throughout my career. Their willingness to share their experience has played an important part in my development. I’d also like to thank my site team, as these awards are the result of a collective effort. This is a career highlight for me and something the whole team should be proud of.”
Michele Raucci, Build Director at Allison Homes Central, said: “We’re incredibly proud of Chrissie and Russell for achieving their first Seal of Excellence Awards. Building on their Quality Award wins in this way reflects their determination to keep raising standards and the care they put into every home they deliver.
“Both lead teams who share their commitment to quality, and this recognition is a credit to everyone involved at Cranbrook Grange and Violet Meadows. Huge congratulations to them all on this well-deserved success.”
