easyJet Announces New Flights From London Southend To Edinburgh

• New route will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays

easyJet has announced a new route between London Southend Airport and Edinburgh, further strengthening its UK domestic network and providing customers in Essex and the wider South East with direct access to Scotland’s capital.

Flights are on sale from today, with the new service set to commence on 25 October 2026 and operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.

The route is ideally timed for long weekends, short breaks, visiting friends and family and business travel, offering customers flexible and affordable travel options between the two cities.

The new route will support tourism, business connectivity and regional ties. With quick access to central London from London Southend Airport and Edinburgh Airport well connected to the city centre, the service enables customers to make the most of their time at both ends of the journey.

Edinburgh offers visitors a unique blend of history, culture and vibrant city life. From the iconic Edinburgh Castle and the historic Royal Mile to world-renowned festivals, museums and galleries, the city is a year-round destination. Visitors can enjoy a thriving food and drink scene, scenic walks up Arthur’s Seat, and easy access to Scotland’s stunning countryside.
