Linden Homes Site Manager Wins Second NHBC Pride in the Job Award at Littleport Development

Pride in the Job - Vistry

A Linden Homes site manager has secured a top industry award for his work at Quantum Fields in Littleport as the development celebrates a significant milestone.
Robert Evans has won the NHBC’s Pride in the Job Quality Award for the second time at Quantum Fields, which is located off Grange Lane. The accolade is awarded to the country’s best site managers following a rigorous judging process which looks at every aspect of construction work at a development.
The award was announced as construction passes the halfway mark at Quantum Fields, with work beginning on the second and final build phase at the development.
Robert said: “Winning a Pride in the Job Quality Award requires strong leadership and a team effort towards this shared goal.
“Of course, maintaining the highest build standards is the key to success. To make that possible, you need committed employees and the best subcontractors.
“Industry regulations are changing all the time so the site manager needs to lead from the front and communicate well, not just explaining what has changed but also why. By guiding the team through these changes and fostering a spirit of togetherness, we achieved our goal and I am extremely proud to have done so.”
Linden Homes is part of Vistry Group, a leading national mixed-tenure developer. Linden Homes and its sister brand Bovis Homes will build a total of 680 private and affordable homes at Quantum Fields. Together they will contribute more than £4 million towards local infrastructure and services, as well as providing land and a £1.1 million contribution for a new community centre.
The first phase of 360 homes is now fully built and work is progressing on phase two, which includes 158 private homes,128 homes for affordable rent or shared ownership, and 34 self-build plots.
Alex Stark, managing director for Vistry East Anglia, said: “Quantum Fields is an attractive new development which is bringing much-needed new homes and investment to Cambridgeshire. We were delighted to learn that Robert had once again been rewarded for his commitment to building homes of the highest standard, both for private purchasers and for our affordable homes partners.
“The halfway mark is a significant milestone and we look forward to welcoming more residents as our second phase progresses.”
