Regional homebuilder Allison Homes East has handed over the next set of affordable homes to Platform Housing Group on its popular South Wootton development, on the outskirts of King’s Lynn, marking a major milestone in the scheme’s lifecycle.
Allison Homes East’s Wootton Grange is a significant new development delivering a total of 450 mixed tenure homes. Comprising three, four and five bedroom properties, available via both open market sale and affordable routes, the development is steadily taking shape and providing a host of community, economic and environmental benefits, with 390 trees, over 2,750 shrubs and over 6,750 hedge plants being planted by the homebuilder.
Over the course of the development, Allison Homes East will be handing over a total of 133 homes to Platform. 40 properties will be available for local homeseekers to secure via Shared Ownership and 93 homes will be for affordable rent.
46 affordable properties have already been delivered on the development’s first phase, including 32 Shared Ownership homes and 14 for affordable rent. Platform have now been given the keys to the next 13 affordable homes, marking the beginning of the second phase.
Platform’s part of Wootton Grange, called Wootton Rise, is boosting King’s Lynn’s affordable housing supply and currently offering a collection of three, four and five bedroom Shared Ownership homes.
To mark the occasion, Kev Thorley and David Wright, Assistant Site Managers and Damian Bassett, Project Manager at Allison Homes East met with Andrew Sharp, Lead Quality Manager at Platform, to hand over the keys, tour the site and discuss plans for future phases.

The South Wootton development is one of five being delivered by Allison Homes in collaboration with Platform.
