Braintree Village has announced that its Street Food Festival will return on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September. The two-day event promises a weekend of flavour-packed dishes, artisanal produce and music performances.
Local traders will include ROK Kitchen, who started out at Chelmsford market over 10 years ago and have gone on to win multiple awards for their Korean street food.
Vendors from further afield will include London-based street food business, Smurkey, who are renowned for their smoked turkey legs, alongside award winning Mexican flavours from Nopolitan, and family-run Greek street food kitchen, Gyroland.
North London’s first rolled ice cream company, Sweet N Delish, will also be attending alongside many other traders offering cuisines from around the globe.
Josef O’Sullivan, Centre Director at Braintree Village, said: “Our street food festival was hugely successful last year, so it was a no brainer that it should return for a second time.
“With a fantastic range of culinary offerings alongside music performances, we’re setting the vibe for a relaxed weekend to round off a fantastic summer at Braintree Village. We’re excited to welcome back foodies from across the region for another weekend of great food and live entertainment.”
The event will be open from 11am- 8pm on Saturday and 11am–6pm on Sunday and will be located adjacent to the North Car Park. Entry to the festival is free, with food and drink available to purchase. Guests are welcome to enjoy the music and atmosphere throughout the weekend and can take advantage of up to six hours of free parking at Braintree Village, making it even easier to enjoy the festivities.
