Fine pencil artist Paul Fulcher, know as Pif by his friends, from Peterborough, is supporting the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease and Motor Neurone Disease Association through sales of his limited-edition prints of Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield.
Pif has been an artist for over 30 years and has commissioned hundreds pictures for family, friends and celebrities.
His artwork has previously helped raise more than £40,000 for a range of charities close to his heart, efforts that have earned him a loyal following of admirers and collectors across the world.
Renowned for the extraordinary time and care he puts into each piece, Pif typically spends 200 to 300 hours crafting a single original drawing.
Pif was inspired by the touching moment at the inaugural Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon where Sinfield carried his best friend and former teammate across the finish line sketching a hyper realistic line drawing of the pair.
A limited number of signed prints will be available to purchase through Paul’s Etsy shop, with £15.00 of proceeds donated from each print to the MND Association and Leeds Hospitals Charity.
Talking about why this project means so much to him, Pif said:
“I was inspired by the Kevin Sinfield’s true grit and determination that he showed when helping his best friend and to see him carry him over the finish line was truly awesome. Then seeing a photo of them both at the end of the race, I felt I empowered to do something to help raise funds for MND.”
As a further act of generosity, Pif kindly gifted a framed copy of his fine pencil drawing to the Rob Burrow Centre for MND. Gary Jevon, Centre Manager says:
“We were amazed when we received Paul’s drawing of Rob and Kevin, it really is a masterpiece. We are so grateful to him for using his incredible talent for good and helping us continue to provide the best possible care and support for people living with MND and their loved ones.”
Roger Widdecombe, Relationship Fundraiser at the MND Association said: “This incredible artwork of Rob and Kevin captures their enduring love and friendship, and the funds raised from the sale of the prints will help continue their fight against MND. The money raised for the MND Association will ensure that people with MND, their families and carers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland are given the care and support they need, as well as helping fund vital research bringing us closer to better treatments and a cure.
